In 2019, the PROUD Program was honored with the Making a Difference Award from Alliance Health in recognition of our dedicated quality care in the Durham Community.
In 2021, the PROUD Program was honored with the "Keeping the Dream Alive" Award from the MLK Steering Committee.
​​YOUNG MEN'S PROGRAM
Our signature program for young men ages 13-17 teaches life skills to encourage responsible behavior and personal leadership. It is offered over a 16-week period, with two sessions per week led by facilitators.

Our signature program for young women, ages 13-17, focuses on teaching life skills to encourage personal growth and prevent negative choices. This program is offered over a 16-week period, with two sessions per week facilitated by trained instructors.
Youth Justice and Prevention
According to a report by CBS17 News, juveniles as young as 10 years old were linked to 529 criminal offenses in Durham in 2024. At the P.R.O.U.D Program, we strive to engage with these young individuals through our curriculum and initiatives to help prevent them from becoming repeat offenders.
